Just a glimpse. Into my heart.

Jace keeps bringing dogs home. We have housed 9 dogs since our arrival in Chandler.

That's right. I said Nine. The doors keeps revolving. I'm sure their is a name for people like us who test drive pets.

I sold a puppy yesterday to Wes. So, we are now down to 4 Jack Russells.

5 dogs, a couple rainy/muddy days, and snot noses. Turns out- it is not a great combination for my sanity. I've lost it. I was crying this morning in the car, while taking my kids to school and Gabriella was singing to Troy....
"I've got to go my own my way.....I've got to move on and be who I am." - She sang. And I cried.

I had never owned a dog until Jace came along. Mauriah was allergic. Mike threw rocks at the neighbor's barking pets. Addie was terrified. It never could have worked.

I am a lover of children and husbands. I want to take care of them. I want to feed, water, pet, potty train, and walk them. Everyday. There is not a lot of room left in my small heart.

Today I met Wendy. She was parked up at the top of my street. She was looking concerned. She was on her cell phone. I sped by fast. Wendy followed me home.

"Is that your dog?"

Pause. Crap.

"Yep."

"And you have another, named Max?"

Another pause. Double crap.

"Yep."

"They were running down the middle of Copper Rd. I got Max to jump into my car but I could not get the other one to come with me. I was so worried. If my dogs were running in the middle of the road, I would be so scared."

Nice.

"I'm so sorry."

"Do you think I could keep Max?"

Don't answer to quickly. She'll think you have a small, cold heart.

"yyyyess."

Don't think bad thoughts about me. Max is going to love his new home. And I know those puppies are adorable. And I know how much Ezra loves his "tinies." I really want to be a dog lover. But I must. I must. Get rid of a couple more dogs. If you love dogs and are concerned about their safety while running down majors roads - call me. We can arrange for the happy trade of the dogs for my sanity back.

I quite enjoyed this post. And no I don't want a dog, even though they are cute. I need to call you, I found out you still don't have your computer. DANG. Sorry about that. And I've been wondering about all your going on's. Anyways, I'm glad you're still alive even if you are a little crazy from puppies.

Dear Lindsay: We LOVE dogs @ our house...but alas, we seem to be a little hard on the ones we take in...I've never had the chance to tell you how much we loved "Girl." I told Bob on about day 1/2 that there was no way you guys were getting this little girl back...She would sit on my lap all the time and I just loved it!! I gave her a bath and she still wanted to sit on my lap. Thanks for sharing her with us - even if it was such a short time it was a sweet time. Love you guys and miss you!!

No thanks to a dog, I need sanity too. You are a nice mom! We dog watched my moms two cute dogs for two weeks and that was enough for me. My Grace prays for a dog nightly so maybe my heart will soften. I LOVE your family pictures!!

We decided to keep one of our puppies and have REGRET....big time! 2 dogs is 2 too many! The stupid pup took off with the fedex package that carried a part for my dryer! I was so lucky to find the silver dollar sized part out by the road...a week later! Luckily it was still in tact and worked! The sad thing is I was pretty hard on the pup and the next day he got behind my car and I ran over his leg! Oops...I felt bad! I think he will recover just fine though. Good thing the kids LOVE them, or they would be GONE!

Lindsay Lindsay...you have a very large soft hard. I wouldn't let chaz bring any dogs home let along 9! You have more house guests and pet guests than any one I know and you handle it well. I really don't want a dog, I sure think they are cute and that it is especially cute that Ezra calls them his "tinies." Hope to see you later today or tomorrow! Can't wait to see a bit of warmer weather and hang out with you all!

Okay, if we are going to be neighbors we will need to someday see each other, or what is this world coming to? Glad you are liking the King's, she is fun!

I will help you feel better about your sentiments towards dogs...I have one and today his name tag came off and I am not going to reattach it in hopes that he runs far away and nobody will be able to contact me. (o: Seriously, I can hardly stand him...we have taken pics to place an ad in AZ Central.

I'm sorry for your sanity, but your story did make me smile. I would happily give away my dogs too!
I'm glad you're blogging again, it's fun to see what you long lost Baums are up too.
