In this whirlwind kind of life we lead, I post various bits about our life. Jace occasionally reads these posts or hears about them from you. In my recent posts about our move to Utah, Jace expressed to me that I had left out some important information.

We will be leaving our business, White Mountain Plumbing, Inc........OPENED and in good hands. What this means to you:
- If you owe White Mountain Plumbing, Inc. any money for services rendered....You still owe White Mountain Plumbing, Inc. money. Please remit payment at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your business - we appreciate it very much.
- If you were lucky enough to have the handsome Jace Baum plumb your abode, you are lucky enough to have all plumbing work still warrantied.
- If you happen to need any plumbing services now or in the future...Please call. Our employee of the year (our only employee and the "good hands" I referred to earlier), Josh, would love to be of service. He was trained by the master.
- Our little company is not out of work, business, or for sale. It would be alot like selling a 4th child, for me anyway. For Jace, it would be a lot like dropping off the cat our 2nd son is allergic to at the local Humane Society.
- Jace has never visited an oil field, let alone worked at one. While I am leaving self-employment (the White Mountains, family, and friends) with a heavy heart....Jace is hoping for greener pastures. He has been offered a job with an unbeatable salary, full benefits, and work...guaranteed work, which is exactly what Jace needs, even before the salary. If he decides the oil fields are not the place for him. He will come home.
For the 1st time in his 8 year career as a plumber, Jace found himself without one thing to do a couple weeks ago. Here is where the wind started to shift and the bad smell of a recession fart entered our lives. And here is where Jace traveled to Utah on a Thursday and found work on a Friday.
We have been tremendously blessed this past year with work. We have not felt as much as a hiccup in our work load. Many around us found themselves without work and warned it would catch up to us as well. We prepared. We sold a house. We stayed out of debt. We hunted plumbing jobs and checks like idiots (that was my sweet voice you heard on the phone, begging for payment). And now we find ourselves reading the writing on the wall. The work is disappearing. The dark and heavy recession cloud is pouring down on this entire community. But we have faith. We have faith in a Heavenly Father that is aware of the good people here and their desire to do right by him. We have faith the economy will turn around. We watch and pray.
We will continue to watch and pray.
We have just chosen to do it in Utah.
A strong north wind is blowing. Do you feel it?

man, i hate walking down the isle in the store and wham, there it is, you get hit like a ton of bricks by some nasty stench that stranger before left for you. groooossss.
i am glad that direction
jace decided to head this time was a tad bit north and not farther then that. whew!
Perfect. You nailed it.
I just wish the stench or the whirlwind would either leave you alone or take me with it.
Dang economy. But what's there to do?
OK when I first read you were moving, I was sad, especially for you. I still think it's very very sad that you're moving, but I'm kind of less sad for you now. Sounds like it's actually going to be a good thing for you guys. You can always come back if not. Sounds like an adventure, though, and I'm always up for that. You will definitely be missed. Although I can still know all about you, cause I'll still be reading :) Oh, and I never told you. A few months ago we went to the movies during the day and there was this REALLY cute girl walking through the parking lot. She was with some guy and kids. She had the best hair and I thought, "I wish I looked that good in my jeans." As we were walking to buy our tickets YOU turned around and got into your truck I think with your family. How do you like that???
I agree with Jess, what's there to do? At least it's close enough to drive home every once in a while, and there is something to say about a paycheck you can depend on and work you can leave at work! I hope it all turns out the way you want it to and hopefully one day the wind will bring you back here!
OK Lindsay, I still can't believe you're leaving, but I'm sure it will be great and wish you the best. Just please keep up the blog.
As far as the movie goes. I will probably only add a short note about it on my blog. Let me first tell you that it was NOT my idea to go that night, although we did have a great "girls night out". As for the movie, I laughed so hard. I thought it was so dang cheesy. Others may say otherwise. Low budget? I'm not sure, but I definitely will not be buying it. Will I go see the next one? You bet, but only with the girls. Hopefully it will be better than the first one.
Christian is Ben's first cousin and they are doing so good. I think they are going to be just fine after this is all said and done. Of course they have their moments, and they have right to, but I believe that this trial will only make them stronger. They were already rocks and they have the GREATEST family support out there.
You guys are so funny! Tell Jace Ill be sure to remember all that. Im still ignoring the fact that your moving...just so you know. P.S. I totally thought about you after that instant Karma thing. You do have a lot of funny crap like that happen to you.
I was wondering the story behind the move. Thanks for sharing :) not sure when i'll make it out that way again, but i do have family in utah too...i'll try and look ya up if and when i ever get to road trip again.
Lindsay I sure feel like that stench is permeating the whole family. Whata quiet time our gatherings are turning out to be. Jace is a whirlwind but he always seems to have a good time and leaves you with a roof over your head and that's all I'm concerned about although I will miss watching instead of just listening to your funny stories.
Well I am glad you have found something. And in Vernal. Well I have a really great friend here that is from there. Yes there the small town of Vernal. And it must be a good place cuz she is awsome. Anyway. Let us know where you are. You know address and stuff. It will be a good adventure!
Oops. Well the comment from Net was actually from me. I guess I was on my mom's blog when I posted. Sorry. I am not so great at the blog thing. My mom wishes you the best too.
I survived the Thanksgiving without my family. It was sad, and I missed them, but I survived.
Maybe Jace and Trace could go shoot something and we could go shopping sometime.
(Do Jace and Trace get along? I'm never sure with the Porter boys and their "intense" reputation! They seem like they would get along though.)
utah!!?? craziness... the seaman girls are getting scattered like the wind... a chicks get to eat and so do the chickens...thank heavens for blogs, they make everyone a bit more anchored together. love you baum squad!
